Ryazan is one of the oldest cities in Russia. The old part of the city, the Ryazan Kremlin and its museums are included in the list of especially valuable objects of cultural heritage of Russia. The historical center is a monument of urban development of the 18th century that has survived to this day. There are ensembles of stone and wooden buildings of the 18th - early 20th centuries, city museums, estates and architectural monuments on its streets.
